Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Data Engineer with solid experience in dbt. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with data transformation and pipeline development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity and optimization to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using dbt
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to ensure data models support business needs and deliver accurate insights
- Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries and data transformation logic to ensure high-performance
- Ensure data quality and consistency across various data sources and environments
- Participate in data architecture and design discussions to build scalable and robust solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation for data models, transformations, and workflows
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers, fostering a collaborative and data-driven culture
- Continuously improve data engineering practices and processes to increase efficiency and reduce technical debt
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong emphasis on DBT for data transformation
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Experience with ETL tools, data pipeline frameworks, and version control systems like Git
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the finance SaaS industry, with bonus points for start-up experience
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in remote working environments
